This new start-up church plant is pastored by James Horton, a 1982 graduate of Pensacola Christian College. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1987, and over the past thirty years has served the Lord in Christian ministry and pastoral leadership in three independent Baptist churches (Missouri, Wyoming, and Georgia).  In January of 2015, he was assured of God’s leading to plant an independent, Bible-believing Baptist church in North Columbus, and by God’s grace the first service was conducted on April 12, 2015, under a tent. He has a love for God and a desire for God’s Word to impact the hearts of people through sound, biblical preaching.

 

Pastor Horton and his wife, Jackie, have three married children and two grandchildren.
